More Teaching. Premium Quality.
No Fee Increase
for 2026–27

Over the past 12 months, we have carefully reviewed our cost base and made considered decisions to improve efficiency. This allows us to maintain our fees for the 2026–27 academic year without compromising the high standards of our provision. We believe that rising costs do not automatically require rising fees, and that families should benefit from careful, responsible management wherever possible.

Access to high-quality 11+ preparation should not become progressively less affordable for families. Maintaining our current fee structure reflects this commitment.

We prioritise investment where it matters most: our students. All tuition is led by fully qualified primary teachers and delivered in small class sizes (average 8, maximum 10), ensuring every child receives the attention, support, and challenge they need to succeed.
Marie Redmond Tuition classes have an average of 8 students, never more than 10

Each lesson in Bushey runs for between 2 hours (Year 4) and 2.25 hours (Year 5), enabling deeper teaching, extended practice, and more meaningful consolidation. Across the programme, this provides significantly more teaching hours than many comparable courses.

Comparable courses are often more expensive overall, despite offering shorter lessons, larger class sizes, and fewer total teaching hours. When assessed on a like-for-like basis, our programme provides a lower cost per hour of high-quality tuition, delivered by fully qualified teachers throughout.

We continue to invest in our teaching, resources, and students, maintaining the high standards and outcomes expected of Marie Redmond Tuition.

Students joining after the start of the course receive the remaining assessments within the programme.

Lessons continue through to July 2027 as part of the full programme, with a Year 5 refresher lesson in early September.

All fees include VAT. You can pay by Direct Debit, Debit/Credit Card, Tax-Free Childcare, Childcare Vouchers, or the Childcare Grant Payment Service (for parents in full-time higher education).

Cancellation and Payment Terms

We believe that families should feel comfortable and confident in their decision to continue with tuition, and that it should not be difficult to stop if circumstances change.

If you decide to withdraw your child from the course, please let us know in advance. As payments are made monthly, no further payments are required beyond the final month attended.

Joining the Course After the Start Date

It is very common for students to join our courses after the start date. Families may move into the area, decide to begin 11+ preparation later, or choose to transfer from another provider once they have had the opportunity to review their initial experience.

Once you enrol, you’ll receive a personalised payment plan based on your child’s start date. This is calculated using the standard course fees and adjusted proportionally for the remaining lessons in the programme. You will only pay for lessons from the point your child joins onwards.

If you would like to review the fees before enrolling, please contact us and we will be happy to provide full details.

Starting September 2027 or Later

You do not need to wait for fees to be announced in order to secure a place. We are currently accepting enrolments for courses starting up to and including September 2031.

Fees for each academic year are confirmed in April of the year in which the course begins. For example, fees for the 2027–28 academic year will be finalised and communicated in April 2027.

Any adjustments reflect changes in underlying costs, and we take a disciplined approach to ensure fees remain fair and proportionate, rather than increasing automatically each year.

What Is Included in the Fees?

Our course fees include all books and resources needed to support your child's learning. With expertly planned lessons and detailed feedback, we ensure every student receives the guidance they need to thrive-providing structured support with a clear and comprehensive approach.

Save 20% with Tax-Free Childcare

As we're registered with Ofsted, we accept payment by Tax-Free Childcare and Childcare Vouchers for all our classroom-based courses. If your employer has a Childcare Vouchers scheme and you did not join it (these closed to new entrants on 4th October 2018), you may be eligible for the replacement scheme, Tax-Free Childcare.

With Tax-Free Childcare, you can save 20% on the cost of your child's course. For every £8 you pay into the scheme, the government will pay in £2, up to a maximum top-up of £2000 per year. Many of our students' parents take advantage of this scheme and you can find out here if you are eligible. You can select this payment method when you enrol, or you can switch to it at anytime.

Payment FAQs

What happens if my child joins after the first lesson of the course?

If your child joins after the first lesson, we will create a personalised payment plan tailored to the remaining lessons. This plan will be included with your course welcome letter. If you’d like to review the payment plan before enrolling, simply contact us, and we will be happy to provide it.

What do I get for my upfront payment?

The upfront payment is your first payment towards the total cost of the course. The remainder of the course is paid in 10 monthly payments of £199 (2026/27 academic year).

Why are the monthly fees fixed, even if the number of lessons varies each month?

Our fees in Bushey are spread across 10 equal monthly payments as part of a payment plan. This means that the number of lessons in a given month does not affect the amount you pay. This approach ensures clarity and consistency, so you always know exactly how much you will be charged each month.

When are monthly payments due?

Our 2026/27 courses in Bushey are paid for in 10 monthly instalments of £199, made a month in advance of lessons, between August and May. The course runs from September to July and includes an additional refresher lesson for Year 5 students just before the 11+ exam.

Payment deadlines vary depending on the payment method:

  • Direct Debit or credit/debit card: Fees are due by the 30th of the month.
  • Tax-Free Childcare, Childcare Vouchers, or The Childcare Grant Payment Service: Fees are due by the 20th of the month.
