Thank you, considering the support that you, alongside Craig and the tutors, have provided my son with and opportunity for him to succeed. It is very well-designed with the rewards system that motivates, well-structured and the quality of the MRT resources, especially the challenging comprehension, VR vocabulary, vocabulary daily work, flashcards, and math from the superbrain books and worksheets which really tests your ability at a higher level. His creative writing has improved immensely with the techniques, and he oftens receives commendation from school, commenting that he will become an author (which he wants to). He is enjoying creative writing a lot, thanks to Anne and her expertise. He is an enthusiast for the book club – to receive a book voted for, that comes through the door is exciting to open, followed by questions, creative projects and chances to win prizes. We only wished this continued past the 11+. You have definitely triumphed in how to engage a child in the 11+ journey.

As well as this, thank you for the guidance for myself in navigating through the process. It has been most useful seeing the progress he has made, clearly as evidenced in the SuccessTracker, from assessments to mocks, anonymous comparative results. As you can see, he has has progressed from strength to strength. I am proud and thank you for this. Regardless of his successes in the 11+, he has learnt a great deal and good learning habits and techniques.

Thank you so much for running the Easter course. My son has really enjoyed it and come out with a smile on his face everyday. We have signed up to the summer course and have recommended it to friends as well.

My son started just after February 2023 half term and he also did the Easter and Summer intensive courses and I am extremely pleased to say that he has passed and was accepted at Reading School (boys grammar). He did the 11+ with Marie Redmond in Winnersh which was an ideal location. Melanie his tutor was excellent.
He also did book club and creative writing which gave him a wider vocabulary and a great opportunity to meet like-minded students of his age group which he really enjoyed.

We just wanted to provide an update on George, and that he got offered a place at Reading School, Reading starting Sept 2024.  He is so pleased and we couldn’t be prouder. Thank you so very much for giving George all the tools, knowledge and confidence to pass the exam with presumably a high mark! Not only were the lesson learnings invaluable, I am pleased to know that you taught him time management as due to Covid he had never sat an exam or had exam practice.

Our daughter completed Marie Redmond’s Year 5 term time and summer intense course in 2023. She loved using the colourful material provided throughout the course. Melanie is a fantastic teacher and made the lessons very engaging. During the course, regular mock exams and feedback helped us to keep a track of her progress. Courses were well structured. We are very pleased that she passed her secondary transfer exam and now being offered a place in her preferred school.

Our son Ryan recently completed years 4 and 5 with Marie Redmond tuition and has just scored a good pass in the Secondary Transfer Test. We can’t thank Marie and the team (particularly Sarah) enough. What seemed an insurmountable task at the start of year 4 was broken down into a well structured and progressive process that never overwhelmed him and took him to the point where he walked into the exam on the day confident that he was well prepared. In particular the regular tests that Ryan had taken throughout years 4 and 5 and also the mocks he sat in the summer just before meant that he took exam day (and the build up to it) in his stride. I’ve been meaning to email you to share Aubrey’s pass mark of 123. We are over the moon and a massive thank you to you and Leanne. I really don’t think we would have got the mark without you all and that also includes Craig!

We are immensely proud of how well she did and how she pulled her maths score up so much! Please will you thank Leanne very much, our daughter really enjoyed her classes every Saturday. She has developed a fantastic attitude and commitment to learning over the course of her Marie Redmond tutoring and I am very grateful.

Our son took Marie Redmond classes every Saturday. His teacher Ansa was great and very kind. Learning in a small group rather than with a 1:1 adds a pleasant social element and a bit of fun for the children. Alongside staples such as Bond and CGP, MR Tuition also uses its own very good workbooks. Weekly homework was not too onerous compared to the child crushing quantities prescribed to peers by a local competitor. Having done little and often consistently, our son did not have to cram or increase his efforts towards the end. He felt calm and passed comfortably. Communication with and organisation by MR was excellent throughout the year and our second child is up next.

My child joined Marie Redmond in the summer term after her previous tuition company went bust. I had already been very unhappy with the standard of everything I could see there but was doubting my judgement as a first-time 11+ tuition parent.
As soon as we moved to Marie Redmond it was very clear I had been correct.
I have been unbelievably impressed with the teacher (Jacqueline), the coursework, the company specific workbooks and content and also now enjoy marking her work myself as I’m much more aware of what and how she’s doing. I just wondered if you could pass on a huge thank you to the ladies who administered the test at RGS in High Wycombe. My daughter Millie was quite upset and nervous when she arrived and they were so welcoming and made her feel so comfortable. My daughter just completed the Y4 refresher course and we’ve never received such in-depth feedback on her school work…….ever! The detail her teacher (Grace) went into over a 4 day course was incredible.

Thank you for sending this through. It is such a detailed report from Irene and a joy to read. Amelie really enjoyed her summer course and found it beneficial. I have read out Irene’s report to Amelie and she was pleased.

In addition, thanks for also sending through the results of her mock exam. I really liked the breakdown of the results to see the areas we need to work on and the video explanations. It is really helpful. She did very well in some sections. Just a few more marks needed in others. Hopefully we can focus on the weaker areas to boost the marks a little for the main exam. She found it useful to practice under exam conditions and seeing the timings.

We are going to continue working on the homework recommended for over Summer and I have already seen an improvement in Keira from her attending and doing tests at home, so I appreciate this week.

My son was nervous about attending the course and reluctant but was absolutely buzzing after each session. I just wanted to express a big Thank You for the mock exam sessions that Kimora sat for. She has found them to be useful and she felt that you and the staff were very supportive. Kimora says that the mock exam gave her a better understanding what the actual GL exam will be like. She actually said that she enjoyed doing the mocks and found it very useful! We wish we were able to book more mock sessions but unfortunately, we will be travelling away to see their grandparents (who are in their 80s), so we are not able to book the remaining mock sessions.

He had a wonderful time with you guys at his lessons. Anne is an amazing teacher and he always looked forward to her classes. He too will miss her. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend tuition at Marie Redmond centre. The lessons were very well planned and smoothly delivered. I just wanted to say that it is a delight to see the subtle differences to your tuition since Millie did it 2/3 years ago. The online platform to view their progress, superbrain cards, your own bespoke books, and just the general adminstration has been really good.

When we initially signed up Harvey, I was concerned if it was the right tuition for him as I remember Millie finding is really difficult to keep up with the weekly homework, whereas other providers had much less ‘homework’ and kids were not as stressed. And whether a much smaller class / or 1-2-1 was more beneficial.

However, Harvey has been amazing and has been completing his weekly tuition homework with no issues – so clearly just a difference in working ethic with my children!

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that its great to see the new improvements. A friend of mine also have her daughter with you and she is really happy too.

Marie Redmond Tuition has been a good fit for both of our children, who attended weekly sessions through Year 5, a week’s summer course (including a mock test) and one additional mock test. Work was well structured and organised, feedback, materials and other admin. appropriate and timely. Tutors Sarah H (this year) and Anne (three years ago) provided friendly, pragmatic teaching and support and were responsive to questions asked before / after class (as were Marie and Craig via email). Mock tests helped with exam technique and timing (our son caught himself answering out of synch in the actual test, so the rehearsal experience was invaluable). My son started the Year 5 term-time course in 2021 Sep. A lot of thought has gone into choosing the books and resources and structuring the course, and it enabled my son to keep a steady pace though the year without any additional stress or strain. Thank you so much for sending us Sinead’s report – that was lovely to read. I have to say that despite having to study for 4 days, instead of languishing in the sun, Flynn never complained once about going in so Sinead must have been doing something right! Those study sessions and the mock exam were so helpful for us because Flynn hasn’t been externally tutored so getting independent assessments of where he’s at can feel like a leap in the dark. It’s been an investment very well spent in our opinion, so thank you for the very well organised and set up operation.
The final point about focusing until the final exam has also been useful in persuading Flynn to keep going for a few more weeks! With very many thanks

She really enjoyed the online course too- I never like the idea of online- I know my other two who had to go online during lockdown for their tuition (another company sadly) struggled and the content/teaching wasn’t as good but she was really pleased- she said everything was thoroughly explained etc and she enjoyed it. I always worry they won’t learn as well online but you guys seem to do it so well both ways!

Misbah is loving the lessons, and they are challenging her in a way that she is not used to, which is certainly a good thing. Her school does not stretch her the way she needs, so the tuition is adding hugely to her development.

Our daughter studied with Marie Redmond from November last year and passed her 11+ exam this September. Due to Coronavirus we went for online tuitions, which was very convenient and just as good as face to face lessons. My daughter’s teacher Anne was very professional, encouraging and helpful. We have had numerous books and exam materials posted to us by the staff, as well as small rewards and cards with encouraging words. During the summer we signed up for the intensive course and the mock exam, which was taught in Amersham. The whole experience was very positive. My daughter’s confidence was boosted hugely and she felt very sure when she took the exam, which was the best mental state we could have wished for. She now enjoys her last year at primary school with reasonable ease because she has massively improved in maths. We can’t thank M. E. T. enough for their excellent teaching, help and support. My son will be signing up in a few years time. Hopefully remote lessons will still be available as it’s the best way in my opinion.

We were very happy with Marie and all of her staff during our 11+ journey with our daughter. MR tuition is excellent, really well organised and with homework and support for the children. My daughter always enjoyed the lessins (sic) and surprisingly looked forward to the lessons. This is a testament to the staff who created a fun and educational environment for the children. We found out today that he passed the 11+ in both Slough and Buckinghamshire, with great scores. I am writing with regards to the excellent online sessions your tutors are conducting. After sitting in some of Aleena’s sessions, I would like to offer some of my thoughts. I think the quality of teaching and communication is outstanding and I often feel, I would have loved to been taught in that manner when I was younger!

Just thought you’d appreciate some genuinely nice feedback.  Look I have to be honest with you we haven’t got a lot of spare money at the moment but we didn’t want her not to have the same chance as our elder daughter has taken advantage of.  It is the case unbelievably that she sometimes thinks she can’t do things when in reality she could leave most around her standing. When I came home late one evening after her first afternoon I sat in my usual place gathering my thoughts and she leapt downstairs and said , ‘’Dad it was really good – thanks it was really worthwhile you spending all your pennies ‘’ & with that comment delivered she brightly stuck both her thumbs up in the air & disappeared back up to bed… the best homecoming I’ve had for a long while… So thank you very much – anything you can do to encourage her to believe in what she can do I will be forever grateful.

Thanks to you and the team and especially Sarah who’s been Will’s main teacher. We’ve been really impressed with the quality of the set up you have, the teaching and the overall tone. We are glad we moved him to a more structured learning environment. He has thrived and done very well in recent assessment and mocks. He’s anxious as you’d expect but has worked hard and couldn’t be better prepared, so what will be will be now!!

Could I take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for all their hard work. This year has been incredibly challenging. Ruby has worked very hard over the past few months on her 11+, she managed her own 11+ learning around her school homework and was led by her motivation towards completing homework prior to her classes with Anne. I shared with her your expectation of 70%+ pass mark and I think she went for it! Please say a huge thanks to Anne from me as Ruby thoroughly enjoyed her summer course! Ruby also received an excellent end of year report from school, so we are mega proud of her! Also, the prizes really help! They seem to be the most important thing in Ruby’s life at the moment!

I’m glad Safa’s overall score is good.  Safa enjoyed the course and found this to be very useful. Safa continues to undertake her summer homework which is very helpful. I would like to thank Anne for her help and support during Year 4.  Safa enjoyed being taught by Anne both in class and virtual settings.  During lockdown, the school’s online sessions did not even come close to the high standard of Anne’s classes. There was such a big difference with lessons starting promptly, lessons covering a variety of topics & games and one to one support going over  questions and homework.  It was definitely motivating and a positive learning experience.  Safa looks forward to her Year 5 tuition.

Please pass on our thanks to Laura for tutoring Arjan before Lockdown and Sinead during lockdown.  Arjan enjoyed the face to face lessons at the time anyway, and made rapid progress.  But the virtual lessons in particular were very much appreciated.  We recognise that this was a new way of working for your staff as well, but Sinead was very calm and reassuring throughout the process, and we really value her support of Arjan during this time.  He was a little reticent about getting involved at first because Sinead and the other children were all new to him.  Thanks to Sinead’s efforts and insistence on involving everyone, he’s really grown in confidence and is now fully engaging with the lessons.

Thanks very much Marie for your excellent management of the situation this last term. Chloe’s school haven’t been great regarding home learning, and having her tuition work to continue with has provided much needed structure in her efforts to continue learning. While we’re very keen to get Chloe back into the classroom lessons, the zoom calls have been a well run and efficient substitute while this was impossible.

First of all I wanted to say a massive thank you for all your hard work especially during the COVID period to keep the tuition going for Sophie. She has made tremendous progress this year.

We would love to keep in touch as her brother is only two years away from Year 4 and we certainly are convinced it has been game changing for Sophie this year.

We are aware that we have started tuition very late for 11+. Our main motive was not necessarily to get her to pass the exams next year, but more so to give her more confidence in her abilities, and to go to the next school with more knowledge and confidence. The last month of tuition has confirmed that it has been extremely valuable for her and it has made a huge difference in her school homework already – which she can now do in 5 minutes.

Wow a great improvement on his verbal reasoning and brilliant score on NVR thank you!

He was nervous in the run up but he really enjoyed it. He wants to go to tuition 5 days a week and school only 1 day per week!

1. Simran did amazing and got a qualifying score for both Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.  Thanking Laura and Anne for the amazing work they are doing.

My son Kabir is doing very well preparing in his tuition with Sinead on Saturdays at Stoke Poges. Compared with alot of his friends who are going through the same programme, Marie Redmond tuition is made to be fun and the token system works very well to motivate the children. Kabir also looks forward to going to tuition.

Both of my children have enjoyed Marie Redmond tuition and both have passed comfortably the 11 + exam. Thank you so much for your help.

Jai did really well: Berks – 122, Bucks – 139. We hope he will follow his sister Keerit to Langley Grammar School. Things that were particularly helpful about your course: strong focus on vocabulary starting before the course had even begun, structured homework, rewarding them for their effort with the points and prizes system, regular testing so we could understand where our child’s weaknesses were and lots of question practice for technique. J’s hard work paid off and he passed with a score of 135. I’ve just asked him what he thought of his weekly training course and summer camp. He tells me it was better than school. He enjoyed the fun Maths and English games played in-between sessions. The timed mini tests really helped his speed and the familiarisation work gave him confidence and a strategy for passing the exam.

I’m delighted to say India passed both exams and scored 125 on the CEM and 132 on the GL. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for encouraging Simran to come out of her a shell. When she started with you in December she really dreaded tackling Maths in any form. She was ecstatic with her Maths score in the most recent assessment and the hard work from both sides clearly shows. She is enjoying it a lot more, feels more confident about it all because she is understanding it much more.

I would like to tell you that she has “loved” the Easter course, her word, and is very enthused by her time there. I am so pleased that we took the time to make the right and best choice in choosing you for his tutoring. It’s was a big decision for me as you know his school gives a great deal of daily homework and I needed to make sure most importantly he is in an environment where is happy and looks forward to coming to each week – I believe this will aid to his success. I really appreciate getting data like this – it’s extremely useful and good to see that he is tracking well so far. He is actually really enjoying the lessons, more than I thought he would so the teacher is clearly doing a great job. The homework regime is also proving really helpful in terms of structuring the time I spend with him and understanding more directly where his strengths and weaknesses are.

Bisma had a great first session last Saturday at Stoke Poges – this was a real positive as she was very nervous at the start. I would also like to add that correspondence from yourself and your colleagues was informative and timely. The homework resources were well organised and we were able to find and use everything with ease – I especially liked the use of the purple folder containing that weeks homework. The small incentives used to motivate the children also worked a treat! Early days but a happy start.

Thank you very much for marking and returning his mock test so quickly, and for the useful answer booklet you have emailed us. We will find it very helpful to go through the paper with him. I would like to say a big thank you for the course last week. As I mentioned when we booked, my son is a fairly shy boy and is not very confident with new people or in new situations. I was delighted to see him relaxed and happy after every session he did with Sarah, and he commented afterwards that it was fun as well as hard work. It is not an easy balance to achieve, so thank you for your thoughtful approach. It was a huge relief to see him being encouraged in such a friendly manner, as the last thing we wanted was to put undue pressure on him – that is why we chose your course, having had a good experience with our older son three years ago. The advice you have given us is very useful, and I would be grateful if you could pass this message on to Sarah as well, so she can see that we are grateful for her work with him.

I am delighted with Daniel’s results and I know that he will be too! So that you know, when we had Daniel’s end of term parents evening and last Progress Test reports from school, we were told that Daniel had made ‘much higher than expected progress’ in Maths and English since last taking the tests in 2016. I do credit Daniel for this of course, but I also want to say that I firmly believe that your tuition has also helped him to achieve these levels. I would also like to mention that Naveen came out of her first class beaming and once home said she loved having a tutor like Anne. And then decided she was very lucky to have a tutor. So a really big thank you from me.

His maths has improved immensely since he has joined Sarah’s class. He still finds some aspects difficult but he is improving all the time and has moved up 2 tables in his class. It is obviously working for him which is great for his confidence. So many thanks all round.

She is making good progress and Sarah is an excellent teacher who seems to bring out the best in the children. Lily is enjoying the lessons and hopefully that bodes well for the run in to the exam itself. She is also learning a huge amount, which regardless will be of benefit in the future.

Please can you forward our comments to Anne, as our son thinks she is a very good tutor and enjoys her classes. He enjoyed the classes so much, that he invited his friends to join. His friends have now joined and attend the same class as him.

Katie passed the 11+ (143) and is very happy to be going to Wycombe High School with her best friend (only 3/30 from her class passed so I think the extra work on Maths during the summer and the revision courses were worth the effort!). Hoping her fellow students did well too.

She was pleased with her score of 145. Many thanks for the summer course which she found very engaging, fun and useful. She has a brother who will be taking the 11 plus in 2020 so will be in contact again nearer the time.

We were keen for our son to have some preparation for the 11+ without it being too intense or pressured. We opted for a class structure with a social aspect that rather than intense 1:1 tuition. Our son enjoyed his classes throughout the year and the summer refresher work. Marie was always helpful by email as we had some questions along the way. Ron got 111 score for the exam. Relieved that he qualified and he has realistic chances in St. Bernards. Ron learnt some tricks and methods for solving problems quicker and intuitively from your classes.

We have the immense pleasure in informing you that Aalisya did pass her 11 Plus exam. Having discussed the tuition with Aalisya, in no particular order she said the classes were fun, organised and effective.
