Are you struggling to motivate your child to read? Verbal skills are an integral part of 11 Plus exams, including skills such as vocabulary, grammar, and spelling. At Marie Redmond Tuition, we appreciate that these skills can take longer to develop when a child doesn't read for pleasure. That's why we've created The Marie Redmond Tuition Book Club to encourage our students to read and to develop their verbal and creative skills.
Meet Anne, the qualified teacher in charge of the 11 Plus book club
Anne is a fervent reader, committed to making learning accessible 
and approachable to children. She combines her reading passion and teaching experience to select books that are suitable for her students.
Children in the Marie Redmond Tuition Book Club:
- Vote in a poll to choose the book they want to read
- Receive a new book every month by post
- Receive enjoyable creative tasks related to the book
- Have a monthly Zoom meetup to share their works and thoughts
- Receive a weekly follow-up reading schedule
Additionally, every month, we carefully review the creative assignments of our book club members. The best creation receives a £10 Amazon voucher.
Join our book club
The book club is only available to students attending our term time 11 Plus tuition courses. The book club can be selected on the registration form when booking a term time course; if you would like your child to join later, please contact us.
